Mangaluru Lit Fest to host eminent speakers on Nov 3 and 4

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru Lit Fest 2018, hosting an array of prominent speakers, will be held on November 3 and 4, at the Dr TMA Pai International Convention Centre, Mangaluru.

The event will be inaugurated on November 3 at 10 am in the Main Auditorium. Prafulla Ketkar, Editor of the ‘Organiser’ (a nationalist weekly), will deliver the keynote address at the inauguration. Dr N Vinaya Hegde, Rajeev Chandrashekar and Sandhya Pai will be the chief guests for the occasion.

During the two-day literature fest, talks will be given by various eminent speakers in Auditoriums A and B.

Recognised and prominent personalities will be coming from various parts of the country to speak at the fest, such as Major Gaurav Arya, defence analyst and host of Republic TV’s ‘Patriot’; Dr Anirban Ganguly, Director of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Research Foundation; Madhu Purnima Kishwar, founder of human rights organisation MANUSHI; Dr B M Hegde, cardiologist, medical scientist, former Vice-Chancellor of Manipal University and chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mangaluru; Vivek Mallya, Independent Director at ONGC; Preethi Nagaraj, senior journalist; Malavika Avinash, actor, advocate and BJP spokesperson among others.

There will also be a book release and discussion held in Auditorium C on both the days. ‘Your Prime Minister is Dead’ by Anuj Dhar will be released at 3.30 PM and ‘Job Crisis in India’ by R Jagannathan will be released at 4.30 PM on November 3. ‘What is Hinduism’ by Dr David Frawley will be released at 10.30 AM and ‘Kasheera’ by Sahana Vijaykumar will be released at 11.30 AM on November 4.

The valedictory programme will be held at 3.30 PM on Movember 4. J Nanda Kumar, senior RSS functionary, will deliver the keynote address. Sandhya Pai will be the guest of honour.
