Mangaluru: Venkat Valalambe has announced that he will resign from the post of BJP district vice-president after minister S Angara was not given an election ticket. With this, there is a smoke of discontent in the party.

Sending his resignation message to the district BJP president, Hegde said, “I am deeply pained that the candidate has been announced unilaterally without consulting an honest worker like S. Angara, who has done the development of the constituency irrespective of the party, which has won the hearts of all the ordinary people who have worked tirelessly for the constituency and the party for the last 30 years.

Therefore, I have tendered my resignation from the post of district vice-president of my party from this very moment,” he said, adding that he has submitted his resignation to district president Sudarshan Moodbidri.
