Mangaluru: Eight months ago, Rs 15 lakh was stolen from Prakash’s footwear shop near Mayidde Devus Church on the city’s main road. Now after 8 months Puttur city police have arrested two persons for stealing cash.

The arrested have been identified as Sameer (Kappa) of Devaraj Urs Badavane in Davanagere and Chandrashekar (Chandu) of Shankaripuram in Hassan.

The accused had stolen 15lalh from a shoe shop on September 2022 and had fled. A case was registered at puttur city police station on the basis of a complaint lodged by Sameer, owner of Prakash Footwear shop. Puttur city police, who followed the case, managed to nab the accused.
