Mangalore:   Bhasker Rao, former BJP corporator of Attavar ward was prominent among the several BJP as well as JD(S) men who joined the Congress party at a function held at Mangaladevi here on April 14, Sunday. PT Thomas, AICC Election Observor and Kerala MP, welcomed them into the party by handing over the Congress flag in the presence of several party leaders including JR Lobo, the Congress Candidate from Mangalore South.

BJP men from Mangaladevi, Bolar and Padil areas including Harish K, Arun Kumar, Sadananda Kotian and Vishwanath Kotian joined the Congress. Those JD(S) men who joined the Congress included Devaraya Kamath. Ramananda Poojari and Madhava Shetty.

KM Masood, MLC, PV Mohan, AICC Member, K Ashraf, Mangalore North Block Congress President, South Block Chief Nagendra Kumar, District Congress Women’s Wing President Mamatha Gatti, South Block Women’s Wing President Namitha D Rao and others were present.
