Mangalore, Mar 12: The names of senior corporators Harinath and Mahabala Marla are under consideration for the post of Mangalore mayor. Elections for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor are  scheduled to be held on Thursday, March 13.

As the number of aspirants for the post was high, the Congress was in a dilemma over choosing the right candidate. Now the names of Harinath and Marla are almost finalised, say Congress sources.

DK District in-charge Minister has already elicited the opinion of Congress corporators on Monday, March 10. He is scheduled to meet MLAs JR Lobo and Moidin Bava to take a final decision. In case there is no unanimity on the mayor candidate, then an internal poll is likely to choose the candidate.
