Mangalore: Kadri cops nab notorious thieves

Mangalore: The Kadri police have arrested two notorious thieves here on March 26, Tuesday and recovered several stolen electronic goods worth Rs 4.85 lakhs from them. The arrests were made at Balmatta Mission Compound.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The police have recovered eight laptops, three mobile sets, 3LCD TVs, two digital cameras, a CC Camera and a Honda Activa among other things from them.

The arrest  followed a tip off  and the Kadri cops led by inspector Raghava Padil wasted no time in apprehending the thieves identified as Muneer Ahmed alias Goods Muneer alias Munna alias Nitin (57), a resident of Hoigebazar and Ibrahim BA (67) hailing from Hosangadi, Manjeshwar.

According to the police, the duo was responsible for thefts in several electronics goods showrooms in Mangalore including  Tally Computers at Balmatta, Innovation at Deepa Comforts, a TV showroom at Bejai Kapikad.

Police said Muneer was wanted in connection with as many as 27 cases of stealing.
