‘Mangalore Air crash’ to hit silver screen by year end

Mangalore : The Air India Express crash of May 22, 2010 which left 158 lives charred to death, is now the theme of a film. A young director  has ventured into  making a film based on the air crash  in Malayalam.

The director named Shaheer Ummar  wants to highlight the travails of the families which have lost their near and dear ones in the tragedy, their fight for compensation and their difficult days in his film.

The film named ‘Ini Malayulla Natilek( Now, to the land where it rains) will be shot  in Mangalore, Kasargod, Kerala, Dubai and other places. The director Shaheer is an employee in a cosmetic company in Sharjah. He has prepared the story and screen play after nearly two years of study and after meeting  the affected families.

The shooting of the film is expected to begin in April-May and  the movie is likely to be released by this year end. Golden Seven company of UAE is producing this film.
