Mangalore: A man was brutally assaulted and killed by a gang of four men  opposite Kadri Park on Friday May 9 morning.

The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Aneesh Shetty,  said to be the owner of Sridevi Travels. He succumbed to his gruesome injuries. He was attacked by the gang  with lethal weapons when he was standing along with his friend near an Innova car.

Reportedly four men arrived in a Scorpio and a Maruti Zen and  attacked Aneesh. A critically  injured Aneesh though was rushed to the AJ Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.

It has been speculated that Aneesh was involved in some financial dispute  resulting in the gruesome attack that claimed his life.

The Kadri police arrived on the spot and are investigating.
