Mangaluru: An unidentified dead body of a person aged around 40 years was found at Bunder, near Badria Hotel on Sunday morning, March 17.

As there were many injuries on the deadbody and a huge boulder was found near the face, police suspect that miscreants had murdered him by smashing stone on his head.

Locals say that he must be a worker from Tamil Nadu. During the investigation, police found a tattoo carving the name of ‘Jagga Rao’ on the left hand of the body. The dead body has been shifted to the mortuary of Wenlock hospital for public identification.

Pandeshwar police have visited the spot and are conducting an investigation based on the tattoo.
