Mangalore: A 45-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train at Yekkur here on Tuesday June 3.

The deceased has been identified as Madhusudan, a resident of Pumpwell and an electrician by profession.

It is learnt, late on Monday night, Madhusudan came home drunk and quarrelled with his family members. He then walked out and reportedly  committed suicide. He got married a year ago and has a month-old baby.

The railway police rushed to spot and registered a case at Mangalore rural police station.
