Sullia: Few male students of a college in Sullia resorted to a rather unusual kind of protest against their college management for not taking action against the students of a particular community who wear burkha to the college.

The male students of a government college at Peruvaje, Bellare are wearing saffron shawl over their shirts from the past few days. The students have reportedly said that they would continue wearing the saffron shawls until the principal takes suitable action against the female students wearing burkha.

The incident is being discussed in the social media and has earned sharp criticism from different quarters as it might lead to clash between various communities.

Even in the past several incidents of students of particular community being asked not to wear the over-robe mandated in their religion had hit the headline.
