Mangaluru: District unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has organised a programme and installed a big screen at BJP’s election office near Bunts Hostel circle, in order to facilitate people to watch Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interaction programme through video conferencing, in connection with the ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ campaign, on Sunday , March 31.
BJP’s election in-charge and Karkala MLA V Sunil Kumar inaugurated the programme by offering floral tribute to the portrait of ‘ Bharata Matha’. After inaugurating the programme Sunil Kumar said, “people should decide whether we want a leader who has given a befitting lesson to the terrorists or those who have always bowed down before the terrorists. Everyone should support the BJP candidate as each and every vote would strengthen the power of Modi”, he said.
Meanwhile, he questioned the intent of ’Mahaghatabandhan’’.“ If India’s pride has shot up at the international level then it is only due to the visionary programmes of Modi, the leaders of ‘Mahaghatabandhan’ are trying to prevent Modi from becoming the prime minister of the country again. The greed for power has made the leaders to come together and there is no reason behind their unity”, he said.
Though a large number of people had gathered to watch the video conference of Modi, none were given a chance to interact with Modi, as Bengaluru was chosen as the center of interaction for the conference. However, their applause and whistles were a sign that they enjoyed the programme.
Modi interacted with the lakhs of people across the country through video conferencing set up at more than 500 locations across the country.
BJP leaders N Yogish Bhat, D Vedavyas Kamath, Capt Brijesh Chowta, Gopalakrishna Herale, Prathapsimha Nayak, Sudarshan among others were present.
