
Bengaluru: The Income Tax Department has denied the charges made by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, here on Sunday, March 31.
The CM had claimed that the I-T department was working as per the directions of the Central government and that they were trying to threaten the Janata Dal (S) party workers.
CM HDK had said that the I-T officials had raided the party workers’ rice godowns in the wee hours of Saturday, March 30.
As a clarification to this, the sources from the I-T department said that there were no such search operation conducted and had no spy cameras involved.
Earlier, CM HDK had accused the I-T officials of misusing their powers and raiding the rice godowns of the JDS and the Congress party workers, using spy camera.
In a tweet, he had accused the I-T officials for booking cabs in the name of railway officers.

He had condemned through Twitter and had stated that the I-T officials were acting according to the wish of the Central government and that they were threatening their party workers.
He had stressed on the Election Commission to intervene and take necessary actions with an immediate effect.
