Mangalore: The National Highway Authority of India has initiated the task of demolishing the Mahaveera Circle also known as the Pumpwell circle on the NH 66, to facilitate construction of a flyover.





According to the NHAI a two -lane flyover will be developed to ease traffic congestion in Nantur-Pumpwell area.
Sriram Mishra, NHAI officer said that a 90 meter long and 24 meter wide flyover will be constructed here and a service road will be laid before the commencement of flyover works. The authorities may also shift the existing Kalasha at the Pumpwell Circle to the nearby ground.
The Mahaveera Circle was developed at a cost of Rs 12 lakhs on a 43 cent land.
