Mangaluru: Senior Congress leader M Veerappa Moily clarified that he is aspiring to contest Chikkaballapur Lok Sabha constituency again and not intended to contest from Mangaluru Lok Sabha constituency.
After paying a visit to Lady Goschen Hospital on Monday, December 24 Moily informed that he is contesting from Chikkaballapur constituency only. “candidates will be selected by mutual understanding between Congress and JDS as there is a coalition government in the state. There is no any surprise if BJP would able to secure only 3 or 4 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha election in Karnataka, he said.
Meanwhile, Moily predicted that Congress would secure over 200 seats in the next coming Lok Sabha election and Congress national president Rahul Gandhi would become the next prime minister of the country.
“As Congress has succeeded to retain power in Madhya Pradesh, Rajastan and Chattisgarh during the recently concluded elections, people have trusted upon the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. As Modi led union government ruled the country with fake promises, people won’t give chance to NDA again. The leaders of the grand alliance would consent the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and if Congress would secure over 200 seats, none will prevent Rahul Gandhi becoming the next prime minister of the country “, Moily stressed.
