Mangaluru: The Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) leaked from a tanker near Panakaje in Charmady Ghat, in the afternoon of March 9. No untoward incident has been reported due to the same.

As National Highway-66 is closed for road improvement works in the Shiradi Ghat, vehicles are plying via the Charmady Ghat.

As soon as the leakage was reported, fire service and Police were pressed into action. MESCOM has also disconnected the electric connection in the vicinity.

The police have blocked traffic on Charmadi Ghat section to avert any mishap.
