Kasargod: Cops have cracked the case of the suspicious death of Abhilash(15), a student of Hosadurga Higher Secondary School. It is learnt that the boy was murdered by his classmates in connection with a love affair. Cops have arrested two students who accepted their crime during interrogation. The arrested students are minors, 15 and 17 year old respectively.

Abhilash was in love with his classmate. The two arrested students were also in love with the same girl. They had arguments regarding this issue and had even developed rivalry.

The three were returning from school on Friday when they picked up a fight. The deceased was reportedly stabbed under his eye with a compass by one of the accused. The two students, later took him to a pond on the pretext of washing his wound and drowned him.

Body of the deceased was found the next day from the pond. Both the accused were taken into custody on Wednesday after they confessed to the crime.

Parents and locals had protested suspecting that his death was a case of murder. Finally cops cracked the mysterious death of the student.
