Bantwal: Enraged locals over MCC officials deicision to demolish compound walls of the houses without issuing notice held protest on Monday, March 7 in Thumbay.
The protesters mobbed the water treatment plant which supplies water to Mangaluru city and other places.

Last week MCC officials had demolished compound walls built over water pipelines supplying water to MCC. The locals had alleged that there was no notice issued before removing walls neither the gram panchayath were informed about it.

BJP former MLA Padmanabha Kottary, zilla panchayat member, Raveedra Kambali, taluk panchayat member, Ganesh Suvarna, vice president of Thumbe gram panchayat, Praveen B, former gram panchayat president, Muhammed, and panchayat members participated in the protest.
