Mangaluru: Three persons allegedly belonging to Christian community trashed by locals on the suspicion of converting a girl here near Ira in Bantwal taluk.

A local told Newskarnataka.com that a man identified as Rajesh allegedly circulated obscene photo of a Hindu girl in WhatsApp, whom he slept with. Rajesh, according to another local, hails from a Cochin Christian community.

A resident of Ira Gram Panchayath further said today, Monday three persons claiming to be the mother, sister and the brother of Rajesh arrived at Ira to pick up latter female allegedly victimized by Rajesh. 

Learning the arrival of three persons, the women of Ira stopped them. Following the altercation between two groups, local women thrashed three Christians on suspicion of converting alleged victim to Christianity.

A Case would be registered in Bantwal rural police station.
