Let’s stop ‘Addiction’, join us in mega youth rally ‘Walk For Change’ tomorrow

Mangaluru: In a bid to create awareness about addiction, a unique rally ‘Walk for Change’ which is organised by Link Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts in collaboration with School of Social Work, Roshini Nilaya and Nehru Yuva Kendra will kick start at 10 am tomorrow from Balmatta. Link Integrated Rehabilitation Centre to hold 'Walk For Change' mega addiction awareness rally on October 1-1The mega youth rally, ‘Walk For Change’ will be flagged off by Mangaluru South MLA J R Lobo from Balmatta at 10 am and will culminate at Police ground in Pandeshwar. Dr Satheesh Rao, president, Link Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts and Cynthia Lobo, UNV, youth co-ordinator, Nehru Yuva Kendra will preside over the programme.

Youth from various colleges and youth groups under Nehru Yuva Kendra across the district will be participating in the mega rally. The concluding ceremony will be attended by Chief whip Ivan D’souza, Dakshina Kannada SP Bhushan Borase and DCP (Law & Order) Shantharaju.

The mega youth rally has been supported by Karnataka Today as print partner; Daivik Amrith and Adla music as channel partner and 92.7 BIG FM as radio partner.

Link Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts, Mangaluru is an orgainsation working interminably to treat and rehabilitate victims of addiction. The organisation situated at J M Road in Bajal is a project of Link Anti Addiction Citizens Committee with NRI businessman, philanthropist Ronald Colaco as its founder president. The centre works towards a noble task of providing succor to all who are victims of addiction and help them lead a peaceful life.
