Last rites of Moodabidri soldier held with military honours

Moodbidri: The final rites of the soldier from Moodabidri who died in Rajasthan were performed with full military honour at his Urki residence on Monday evening, January 4.
Girish Eshwar Poojary (35), a resident of Urki Nandadi in Badaga Mijar, serving in Indian Army since 17 years died in Rajasthan.

He had come to his hometown 20 days ago and took his wife Roopa and four-year-old son, Gagan to Rajasthan.  The reason for his death has not been ascertained.

His mortal remains was brought to his hometown on Monday, January 4 via Bengaluru.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Mangaluru assistant commissioner Ashok, Moodabidri Tahshildar Mohammad Isaaq, Bajpe police inspector T D Nagaraj along with Bajpe and Moodbidri police paid homage to the soldier.
