Kasaragod: A man hailing from Dharwad died after being hit by train near Uppala on Monday, July 11. S Kadir Babu is the deceased.
He was living in a rented quarter near Uppala Railway station along with fellow labourers and was working in Shiriya in Kumble as a labourer in sand mining.

He was hit by a Kasargod-Mangaluru bound train when he was crossing the tracks. The body was shifted to Mangalpady government hospital for post-mortem. Manjeshwar police visited the spot.
