Kasargod:Kumbla police arrested a person accused of stealing 45 sovereign pounds worth gold and cash money by breaking into 2 houses.
The arrested has been identified as thirty-two-year-old Umesh Reddy, a native of Tamil Nadu. He was put into Viyoor central jail.
The sleuths confirmed burglaries was committed by Umesh after verifying the fingerprints that have secured from the crime spot with that of his.
Umesh has stolen 13 sovereign pounds worth gold jewellery after breaking into the house of a certain Tukaram, residing at Kanchikatte and 28 sovereign pounds worth of gold jewellery, 700 grams of silver and cash money of Rs 15,000 from the house of a certain Vidhyalata Bhakta, residing near Gopalakrishna temple, Kumbla, near here.
