Moodbidri : The Moodbidri police have  secured custody of  Santosh Das alias Ghanashyam and Rajaji Santhethi, the accused in the Siddantha Darshana Mandir theft case, following a body warrant  against the two.

The police on realizing that there was similarity in the mode of theft at the Kodyadka Sri Annapoorneshwari Kshetra on June 29, 2009  and the Siddantha Mandir theft case, had appealed to the court to provide the custody of the accused. The thieves had stolen several valuables  from the temple. But the police who could not trace the accused had earlier filed a C Report in the court.

Recently, the police had appealed to the court seeking custody of the two. Though the  advocate for the accused Nagash Shetty had argued that  the accused was sick, the court  has  handed them over to three days of conditional police custody.
