Khader, DC visit flood affected areas

Mangalore : With several places in the outskirts of Mangalore and various parts of the district affected by floods, Deputy Commissioner N Prakash accompanied by State Minister for Health and Family Welfare UT Khader visited the flood affected areas on July 4, Thursday to take stock of the situation and to meet the affected people.

The Minister who spoke to reporters on the occasion said the administration will leave no stone unturned in helping out the affected people and added  maximum efforts would be made to shift people to safer places. He said the extent of damage can be assessed after the water receded.

It is worth mentioning here that several areas like Jeppinamogaru, Kallaup, Patla, Adamkudru suffered the worst due to heavy rains and flooding. Students of the St Sebastian Higher Primary School at Adamkudru had a tough time with water entering even the classrooms. They were later sent home in boats.
