Perla: Kerala Chief Minister Oomen Chandy laid the foundation stone for the building of a government medical college  to be set up at Ukkinadka in Badiadka Gram Panchayat limits on November 30, Saturday.

In his address, the Chief Minister said healthy citizens are the greatest assets of a nation. The Kerala Government would be taking all possible steps to safeguard the health of the people, he said adding that the government also aims at achieving rural development by facing all challenges ahead.

Kerala health minister V. S. Shivakumar presided over the function.Deputy Commissioner P.S. Mohammad, legislators N.A.Nellikunnu,P.B.Abdul Razak, former ministers Cherkalam Abdullah, CT Ahmefali and others were present.
