Mangaluru: Police detained the members of “Justice for Kavya Horata Samithi” for making an effort to hold semi nude protest near A B Shetty Circle, demanding CID probe into the death of Kavya.

Protesters took out a procession from Hampankatta Circle to DC Office. Meanwhile when the procession reached A B Shetty circle, a few protesters made an effort to hold semi nude protest by removing their shirts, but immediately police detained the protesters.

Mangaluru South Police has registered cases against 7 people for removing the shirts and holding the protest.

It may be recalled that Kavya who was pursuing her 10th standard education had committed suicide under mysterious circumstance in the month of July.
