Mangalore:Congress had promised in the election manifesto that they will not be increasing the tax under Self Assessment Scheme for the next five years but now they are against to it said K Monappa Bhandary, Member of Legislative Council.

Addressing the media persons in the district BJP office here on Tuesday March 18, he said “Congress party has announced an increase of tax by 15% despite their promise in the election manifesto. District in charge minister Ramanath Rai , Congress MLAs J R Lobo and Moidin Bawa by signing the document have put additional burden on the poor.

On Thursday March 20th BJP election campaign office near bunts hostel will be inaugurated at around 10:45am and at around 11:15MP Candidate will submit nomination, he said.

Monappa Bhandary said Congress is responsible for the communal violence in the district and it is trying to divide the society.

Corportors Premananda Shetty, Sudhir Shetty and Sathis Prabhu and others were present.
