Journalist Mounesh Vishwakarma’s articles to be converted into a book

Puttur: Journalist as well as writer Mounesh Vishwakarma has been selected by the State Kannada book authority for the stipend based on his series of articles ‘Makkala Mathu’.

The stipend is given to young writers from the state for their achievements in the field of literature.

Mounesh had written a column ‘Makkala Mathu’ on children’s rights for thirty weeks in ‘Namma Bantwala’ a kannada daily. These 27 articles will come out as a book with the help of state book authority next November.

He is an active member of Dakshina Kannada unit of Karnataka Balavikasa Academy Dharwad. He hails from Sampya in Puttur.

For the last 12 years he is into the field of journalism and presently he is the president of Journalists association of Bantwal.

He has also received scholarship from central government in 2007 and also selected for media fellowship of UNICEF and State children’s rights association.

He also works as reporter for leading kannada dailies. He has also short plays on children’s rights to his credit.
