Udupi :The Election commission and ZP organized government employees rally called ‘JATHA’ to create awareness among the voters in the district on Saturday, April 12.

M. Kanagavalli, president of SVEEP and CEO of ZP inaugurated the rally. In her inaugural speech she said “Every citizen has the responsibility to vote. Let us prove that we are responsible and we love and respect our nation. She appealed everyone to vote on April17 and inspire others too.”

More than 700 government and non government employees, students, organizations and general public participated in the rally.

In another programme  Pranesh Rao, ZP secretary said “Every Indian has voting right”. It should be utilized in the right manner and we should not neglect our right and later repent.

The government has declared April 17 as public holiday. So make use of the holiday and vote for the right candidate.
