Mangalore :
B Janardhana Poojary, Congress candidate from Dakshina Kannada LS constituency has come down heavily on the BJP for lodging complaints against him with the Election Commission on charges of poll code violation.

Speaking to reporters at the Congress Election office on April 1,  Tuesday, Poojary said he  was ready to fight the cases. Here it is worth mentioning that the BJP has moved the Election Commission against Poojari  for promising not to hike Self Assessment Property Tax in Mangalore and also for promising reservation for the poorer amongst Brahmins and GSBs.

Poojari retorted the BJP and questioned whether speaking in favour of and fighting for the cause of poor was wrong. At the same time he declared that he will not stop fighting for the poor at any cost even if it meant that he will have to go to jail.

As usual, Poojari launched a tirade against the BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and alleged that Modi has been only telling a bundle of lies.”There is no development in  Gujarat as projected by Modi,” he said  and accused Modi of being dictatorial.

Several Congress leaders including JR Lobo, MLA of Mangalore South, Mahabala Maarla, Mayor, Ibrahim Kodijal, Interim President of District Congress committee, Ivan D’Souza, Harikrishna Bantwal, Congress spokespersons and others were present.
