Mangalore: The three candidates filed their nominations for the internal election that will declare the candidature for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Mangalore constituency, on Friday February 28.

In the race to win the Congress ticket the three candidates are veteran Congress leader Janardhan Poojary, new entrant Harsha Moily and businessman U Kanachur Monu. They submitted their nominations to the Lok Sabha returning officers Preniel Nair and Pramod Kumar.

U K Monu, Janardhan Poojary and Harsha Moily, son of union minister Dr M Veerappa Moily addressed the media after submitting their nomination and expressed their views on the internal poll, up-coming election as well as the welfare projected towards the district.

The final list of candidates will be displayed in DCC office on March 2. The internal election will be held on March 9 and the results will be declared the same day.
