Independent candidate Srikar Prabhu releases manifesto

Mangaluru: Srikar Prabhu, an independent candidate from the Mangaluru South Constituency announced his manifesto on April 28 at his election office.

K P Shetty Bedemar, President of Srikar Prabhu Abhimani Balaga, symbolically released the manifesto on the occasion.

Addressing the media here on Saturday, Srikar Prabhu promised to work for the progress of the people by taking up various social issues.

His promises in the manifesto include as MLA, he would name the Bavutagudda Road as Mulki Sunder Ram Shetty Road on priority. “There will be drinking water for the whole city daily, within three months after I assume office. Within a span of one year, full fledged underground drainage system will be made in the entire city. A proper traffic system will also be created within six months after I assume the office.”

“As MLA I will give priority to construct a full fledged fish market in the city. For the construction of swimming pool, development of ponds and wells in the city, installation of streetlights, importance will be given. Road widening, a systematic solid waste management, construction of new bus stand in the city, maintenance of law and order and tackling of the drug mafia and illegal activities will be my priority”, Srikar added.

He also said that he would hold a public meeting with officers for the development of the city. He also said that he would work towards creating employment opportunities for the poor youth, education for the students and housing facilities for the poor.
