Kasargod: To protect people from wild animal attacks, government would hold discussion in the next cabinet meeting to permit citizens to own weapons as protection said Kerala forest minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan.

He was addressing the gathering after inaugurating Vanashree forest building at Vidyagiri in Kasargod. People are living in fear due to animal attacks. We have been receiving complaints from those affected. We can control all these issues and could allow people to carry concealed weapons as per the 1972 wild animal act. To prevent wild animal attack, people should be permitted to use guns. So we will discuss this issue and resolve it soon, he said.
