Mangalore: The famous Ideal Ice Cream of Mangalore  has won  five awards at The Great Indian Ice Cream Contest 2013 held at New Delhi  on December 3 under the aegis of Indian Dairy Association and DUPONT Nutrition and Health. A press meet was organized at Hotel Ocean Pearl in Mangalore on December 10, Tuesday to brief the Press on this achievement.

S Mukund Kamath, Proprietor, Ideal Ice Cream informed that  his  firm won the awards  for  the Best in Class in Vanilla Ice cream, Gold medal for Vanilla Ice cream, Gold medal in Vanilla Frozen Dessert and  Silver medals in The Best Chocolate and Innovation category

This all India contest was participated by more than 70 best Ice Cream companies and Ideal won two gold medals and 2 silver medals apart from the Best in Class Vanilla Ice Cream thereby earning the distinction of securing  highest number of awards in the contest.

Founder of Ideal Ice Cream Prabhakar Kamath   briefed about the  Ideal Ice Cream success story. His wife Jaya Kamath and   Sudhir Ghate of Magnum Intergrafiks were also present at the press meet.
