Kasaragod: Husband in a fit of rage bludgeoned his wife to death using a wooden club at Ambalattara Kalichinadka in Kasargod district.

Narayani, aged 45 is the deceased.

The accused Ambady was released on bail a month ago in an excise related offence. Habitual drunkard Ambady used to pick quarrels with his wife and on October 21 it took a tragic turn. Enraged Ambady hit wife’s head with a wooden club injuring her grievously. She eventually succumbed to injuries on her head.

Daughters sleeping at home heard their mother’s cry and informed the neighbors who in turn called the police. Father of five children, Ambady was taken to police custody immediately.
