Hundreds attend last rites of Krishnaiah Mogaveera killed in firing by French troops in CAR

Kundapur : Hundreds of mourners  had gathered at Hemmady in Kundapur on April 1, Monday  for the cremation of Krishnaiah Mogaveera who was killed in firing by French troops outside the Bangui Airport  on March 26. The family members of Mogaveera including his wife and kids were inconsolable as the body  was brought the hometown.

 

 

 

Udaya hailing from Haklady, one of the survivors of the attack, also accompanied the body. The mortal remains of Krishnaiah were cremated at a ground close by his residence in Hemmady.

As already reported Krishnaiah Mogaveera with much dreams for the future, was working for a pharmaceutical company since a few years in the trouble torn Central African Republic. After their homes were attacked, Krishnaiah and several others along with him had decided to return to their homelands. They had been to the airport that day on having information that there was a flight to India. But for the misfortune, the French troops on guard outside, fired at them mistaking them for rebels, Krishnaiah and another Nepali citizen were killed in the firing while six others sustained injuries.
