Mangaluru: Human Rights Day was observed here at DC office premises on Wednesday, organised jointly by District Administration and Dakshina Kannada District Legal Service Authority.

The programme was inaugurated by M G Uma, judge and president of Dakshina Kannada District Legal Service Authority. Deputy commissioner A B Ibrahim presided over the programme.

Tulasi Maddineni, Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer, R Hitendra, city police commissioner, Dr Sharanappa S D, district police superintendent and S P Chengappa, president of lawyers association were the chief guests on the occasion.
