Mangalore: A house at Gujjarakere near Jeppinamogaru   was partially damaged in the wee hours of February 18, Tuesday when an enormous branch of a peepul tree fell over it.

It is learnt that around 4.30 am, the branch of the tree rolled over the house. Fortunately no causalities were reported. The house is owned by Sudhaker Shetty and all family members were fast asleep   when the mishap took place. The entire roofing of the house has come crashing down.

Shetty who is an autorickshaw driver has been residing in the house since 20 years. The extent of loss is said to be around Rs 4 lakhs.
