Mangalore: The police has made an arrest on Sunday March 23 with regards to the death of Soumya who was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her residence at Gujjarakere on Saturday March 22.

It was suspected that she was  set on fire as her body was found charred. Police had taken Kiran Soumya’s husband into custody, on Saturday however the police have taken Shraddha, a resident of Bolar also into custody a day after.

According to the sources Shraddha was close to Kiran and had allegedly had a hand in Soumya’s death, whereas she was present at the spot and seen taking to the officials on the day of the incident.

Police sources said that Shraddha had married a man named Shashikant five years ago and had later divorced him. Shashikant is presently staying in Mumbai.

Shraddha will be produced before the magistrate at night.
