Kasaragod: An accused with multiple cases registered against him, eventually landed in the police net on Saturday, July 30.

The arrested history-sheeter nabbed by the police is Sheik Kamil (34) of Chalukunnu in Vidyanagar.

The police had issued a look out notice on him. He was arrested when he landed at the airport on a flight from Dubai.

Kamil was accused of unauthorized transportation of 7000 liquor packets on Aug 6, 2007 near BC road in Vidyanagar. He was again caught in a similar offence on November 6, 2008 near Poinachi Paramba with 4000 packets. A case was registered against him for assaulting a youth on November 13, 2009.

He was arrested for luring a teenage girl and her friend by offering ice cream, then attempting to kidnap and harass them. He had flown to Dubai after the incident. The police issued a lookout notice on him.

The police are investigating the case further.
