Bengaluru: “Mahadayi is ours. We need justice at any cost. We will fight till justice is done to the people of Karnataka,” said actor Shiva Rajkumar at Freedom Park in Bengaluru on Saturday.
Addressing a huge crowd which had gathered to protest against the Mahadayi verdict, Shiva Rajkumar said that the people of Karnataka were asking for nothing but drinking water. If circumstances provokes, we are ready to hold protest rally in Delhi too, he said.
“We have all the rights to claim Mahadayi river water. There is no need to shout against Goa state blaming it for the tribunal’s interim order,” he said.
The film fraternity is not here to show their strength, but to show solidarity with the people affected.
He addressed the rally in midst of rain which earned him loud applause from the supporters.
Speaking on the occasion, Vatal Nagaraj said that the State government should convene an all-party meeting and should send a delegation to the Prime Minister regarding the issue.
