Hindu Yuva Sena agitates over the Deralakatte case

Mangalore :Dissenting over the Deralakatte case of kidnap, forced sex and blackmail the district unit of Hindu Yuva Sena (HYS) staged a protest in front of the DC Office on Friday January 3.

With a demand to take strict actions against the culprits the Hindu Yuva Sena organized a rally from Ambedkar Circle that culminated at DC’s office with a protest after which they submitted a memorandum to the Police commissioner.

Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Gurupura Vajradehi Mutt said that the eight accused were responsible for the dreadful crime and they must be charged with rape case and booked under Goonda Act.

The Yuva Morcha leader Raghavendra said, “It has been suspected that the eight accused are been shielded by some local politician where as there is also an involvement of District in charge minister Ramanath Rai in protecting the alleged.

Claiming the culprits of the Deralakatte case as ISI agents he said, “A proper investigation must be conducted and charges must be probed against these criminals.”

Prasanna Ravi, Sharan Pumpwell, Yashodhar Chowta, Shivakumar Kharje and others were present.

Police commissioner says:

The police seem to be quite about the entire Deralakatte case, recently when the Police Commissioner R Hitendra was asked about the progress in the case he said, “I would request to not emphasize the case and certain disclosures cannot be made because we are working accordingly to the will of the victim and the victim is very sensitive about the issue.”

He also confirmed that appropriate sections have been invoked as per the accusations on the culprits and they will go through a trial.
