Hindu outfit stages protest in Neermarga

Mangalore:The Hindu Samrakshana Samithi of Neermarga staged a protest on October 28, Monday to condemn the atrocities by some people belonging to another community in the area. The protestors also participated in a rally from Baithurli to Neermarga junction.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Kuntaru Ravish Tantri, President of Hindu Unity  Forum   said some elements were trying to disrupt communal harmony in  the area and charged the police of inaction, particularly in the wake of the recent incident at Mallur.

VHP leader Jagadish Shenava who also spoke on the occasion, demanded that those responsible for the recent untoward incident at Mallur be arrested immediately. He also warned of a protest inside the local police station if the police failed to act.

Prakash Alva Mallur, President of Hindu Samrakshana Samiti, Sharan Pumpwell, convener of Bhajrang Dal and Kumar Malemar, convener of Sri Rama Sene, Subhash Padil, Convener of Hindu Jagarana Vedike (HJV), Jeevan Neermarga, convener of Hindu Samrakshana Vedike  and several others were present.

Elaborate security arrangements were made by the police to avert any untoward incident.
