Belthangady: Hat trick-star Shiva Rajkumar visited Shri Kshetra Dharmasthla here on Monday, July 18 along with his Geetha Shivraj Kumar.
During the visit, Shiva Rajkumar met Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade and Hemavathi V Heggade. Dr Heggade honoured Shiva Rajkumar with a memento of Shri Krishna and also advised him to get treatment for his ailing mother Parvathamma Rajkumar at Shantivana natural treatment hospital in Dharmasthala.

Dr Heggade recalled that one of the songs from Shiva Rajkumar’s movie which was shot in Dharmastahala is still being remembered during the annual mass marriage ceremony.

However, later speaking to reporters, Shiva Rajkumar said that the protest of the cine stars demanding water for dry districts of the state has been wrongly interpreted as protest for implementation of Yettinahole Project. “We had demanded the government to solve drinking water problems in Kolar and other dry districts. We had not pressed for Yettinahole. For artists like us people of the entire state are equal. The government should hold discussions with the people of coastal region. Injustice must not be meted out at anybody,” he said.

Responding to DySP death case, he said, “People of Karnataka know the truth and media has supported positively in this case. Government should understand the plight of DySP’s wife.”

Later Shiva Rajkumar visited Southadka temple and left for Subramanya.
