Green Crusader Swami Swarnavelli to arrive in Niddody

Moodbidri:Swami Gangadarendra Saraswati of Swarnavalli mutt, Sonda in Kerala, who was popular crusader for eco-environment successes staged struggle against Kali river project, Bedti project, rehabilitation of displaced owing to thermal power project will be arriving in Niddodi, near here on Monday September 30 at 7.30pm, said Jnanaratna Education and Charitable Trust chairman Bhaskar Devasya.

Addressing the media persons during the press meet held here on Saturday September 28, Devasya said that Swami Gangadarendra will grace the Guruvandana programme scheduled to be held at Jnanaratna Education Institute here on Tuesday October 1.  Swami Gangadarendra will gather information on the struggle from Niddodi Matrabhoomi Samrakshana Committee, said Devasya.

Swami Gangadarendra is popular for his Bhagavad-Gita campaign across Karnataka will be an inspiration for the people of Niddodi, in intensifying their struggle against the destructive ultra-mega thermal industry, said Devasya.

Niddodi Matrabhoomi Samrakshana Committee chairman Poovappa Gowda,retired teacher Narasimhayya was present at the press meet.
