Mangalore:“The govt. will make the appointments of the presidents for various academies very soon,” said the President of KPCC Dr.Parameshwar.

He was addressing the press meet held in the district Congress office  today.

He said, “The party will initially appoint the presidents of various district level committees and applications have been already received ,by the end of November we will shortlist the applicants in the Taluk and the District level.

Regarding the state level Academies and various Nigam’s a committee which will include the Chief minister along with the High command will finalize the names.
When asked about the evaluation of the ministers, he said that to increase the accountability of the ministers we are planning for the evaluation.

We are currently working on the parameters based on which we can evaluate the performance of the ministers and their respective portfolios.

Regarding the difference in opinion among the various MLA’ he said that the difference in opinion is common among all the parties and congress party is no exception for this.

Later he also said that regarding the new DCC building, the responsibility has been given to the District in-charge minister and he will make sure the work will commence within a month.

He also said that it is for the first time we are participating in the district executive committee meeting and if possible we will try to participate in the block level meetings as well.

The purpose of the participation is to make the party workers aware of the programs implemented by the central and state government.

When asked about the compensation to the Areca planters he said that the chief minister has released a sum of 20 crores to this district and a sum of Rs.12000 per acre will be given to the affected planter.

AICC secretary Selva Kumar, Disrtict in-charge minister Ramanatha Rai, In-charge DCC president Ibrahim  Kodijaal and others were present at the occasion.
