Newskarnataka – Udupi

Udupi: An accident  which took place on NH 66 at Pangala, Katapady here on Thursday February 27 claimed the lives of three persons including a child. The accident occurred when the tyre of their car exploded and the car turned turtle.

The deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Chaya Shetty, 22-year-old Chetan and 6-year-old Dhruti whereas Chaya’s husband Ramesh Shetty was critically injured in the accident.

The Wagon-R car met  with the accident as they were proceeding from Uchila to Udupi. The driver lost control over the  vehicle soon after the tyre burst.  All the three died on way to hospital.

Kaup police have registered a case.
