Mysore: A house caught fire after a cooking gas cylinder exploded due to leakage at Nanjangud in Mysore on Saturday March 29.

The house belonged to Gouramma a resident of Nanjangud. It is learnt that she was cooking in the kitchen when the cooking gas cylinder started dripping and detonated. A frightened Gouramma ran out and called out neighbors for help.

However the entire house blazed into fire. The roof of the house was completely destroyed and the walls broke apart due to heavy explosion.

Tahshildar V Rajendra visited the house and ensured to provide help.
