Mangaluru: A day-long workshop on ‘Teacher Competency Development’ was held by Mangala Alumni Association (MAA) at the Mangalore Academy of Professional Studies (Maps) College.
After the inauguration, Dr K V Udupa, director, ArkGen Pharma Private Limited, Bengaluru, likened teachers to doctors saying said, “Teachers have a tremendous capacity to change an ordinary boy or girl into an extraordinary person.”
Dr Devi Prabha Alva, vice president, MAA, welcomed the gathering, Dr Prabhakar Neermarga, principal (in-charge) Maps College, rendered the vote of thanks and faculty Rakshitha Shetty compered the programme.
Sessions to follow the opening included ‘Change Management’ by the editor of Tarjani Communications Private Limited, Bharathi Shevgoor, ‘EQ Leveraged’ by counsellor Preetham Kamath, ‘Being a catalyst’ by entrepreneur Subhash Bangera and ‘Growth Mindset’ by former HOD of English St Agnes College Dr Malini Hebbar.
